I suppose to buy into my world view, one has to generally buy into the idea that there are indeed good guys and bad guys, good ways of leading people and bad ways. The Left has muddied its followers’ moral compass so nobody knows where North is now. Good is bad. Bad is good. Up is down.
Only the followers don’t see it that way.
Iran was, and is, a brutally oppressive theocratic regime where that theocracy is founded on jihadic ideals openly calling for the death of, not just its enemies, but of anyone not willing to submit to its murderous dictatorship. And make no mistake, it was a murderous dictatorship. They regularly beat and murdered their own people for actions like having a boyfriend or showing hair or criticizing the regime. They killed westerners. They paid others to kill westerners. Not soldiers, mind you, but civilians, diplomatic staff, music festival-goers, that kind of thing.
In my mind, the real crime of the United States, when it comes to Iran, is that they didn’t stop the revolution right at the start. They should have supported the Shah, sent troops, and maintained a pressence from there for as long as it took. It would have kept the region stable, saved millions of lives, and kept China in check.
And yeah, the idea of Team America: World Police is distasteful, but there are far, far, FAR worse things out there than Americans interfering in other regions.
Meanwhile, we’ve got frickin’ non-human intelligences on Earth and governments who have lied about it for nearly a century, doing all manner of evil in the process of concealment.
I mean, what the fuck?!
Who gives a shit about Trump when there’s that just sitting there like a big ol’ elephant?
Orwell brought to life? Nothing.
The pandemic response based on lies? Nothing.
Fucking aliens?! Nothing.
Trump renamed a lake? Holy shit! It’s neo-fascism! Prep the planes! Hide the women!
I struggle to think of a plainer, more obvious way to show you that it is manufactured and socially engineered.
It’s right there.
And if you disagree, well then with what part?? You think what is and has been happening under leftist governments over the past 7 years is normal? That it isn’t ripped right from the pages of 1984? What else do you call it? They can now tell you what to think and say. That should scare the fuck out of you but it barely registers.
Deliberately engineered non-response to actual existential threats by projecting the response on to a manufactured existential threat.
Trump is not an existential threat.

Trump will be gone in 3 years. The shackles of one-party totalitarianism will last forever.
The “American” Way is the last ideological bastion against an ever-growing totalitarian menace. A menace they are calling socialism, but which – like every fucking experiment in socialism EVER – almost IMMEDIATELY becomes Stalinism. Every population who has ever bought into the lie that the state is benevolent and deserves total power has ended up dying in the millions.

Look at the Left now. The talk is of “removing harmful ideologies” by way of securing de facto one-party control. Why do you think Alberta is so pissed? There is no voice. There is no meaningful opposition, and when there is, it is labelled “far-right hate” and censored.
This should scare you. This should worry you.
You don’t hear conservatives clamouring to censor dissent. Because they understand that the fragile balancing act that has led to such prosperity over the past 100 years is owed to an open marketplace of ideas and the free exchange of them. That doesn’t make conservatives right about everything, but they aren’t seeking control over what you read, hear, say, and think.
I can’t make it much simpler.
The real evils, the real things to be outraged about, have been cloaked by the programming, where you can see it, but still not see it.
